KUALA LUMPUR – The Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee Special Committee (JKJAV) website today said bookings for the AstraZeneca jab will be opened at 12.15pm instead of noon.
“The AstraZeneca vaccine booking page is still being updated. You can begin to book your slots from 12.15pm. Apologies for the inconvenience,” tweeted JKJAV at 12.01pm.

As at 12.18pm, the option to make an appointment was removed from the portal.
Two minutes later, the option reappeared.
However, there are still complaints on people being unable to choose states: Johor, Penang, Sarawak, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.
The booking window should have been opened at 12pm, as announced by the Health Ministry and vaccination drive coordinating minister Khairy Jamaluddin.
Scores of Malaysians have taken to social media to air their frustration over the delay, with many slamming the government for not being able to get it right the third time around.
Twitter user @wensmims highlighted different messages in the English and Bahasa Malaysia versions of the site.
“The English site says 12.30pm, but the Malay site says 12.15pm hmmmmmm.”
Several netizens shared screenshots showing that their access to the site has been blocked.
Some people reported that they are unable to select dates, as the portal shows slots have all been taken up.
The majority of social media users pointed out glitches on the registration form preventing them from clicking on states to choose their vaccination centres – an issue that occurred when registration opened exclusively for those above 60 years old on Sunday.

Adding to soaring public frustration, some users said their MySejahtera app is “down” or displaying a notice saying it is undergoing maintenance. The new opt-in form has a section for users to fill up their MySejahtera ID number.
At 12.40pm, MySejahtera tweeted: “Dear users, we are facing very high traffic at MySejahtera right now. Some of you may not be able to access certain functions. Please log in again later as the traffic clears. Thank you.”

In a tweet, JKJAV said over 300,000 slots have been booked as at 12.55pm.
“More than 300,000 slots in the second round of the AstraZeneca vaccine bookings have been taken up. We understand that many are still unable to do so. Please try again shortly.”
Lawmakers, such as Lim Guan Eng, Hannah Yeoh, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman and Maszlee Malik, also took to social media to question the technical glitches.
Syed Saddiq and Maszlee said they tried for an hour to make bookings for family members, but to no avail.
“Tried registering for my wife since 12:15pm... but I can’t even click the states. Is this The Hunger Games?” tweeted Maszlee.
“Dah lebih sejam depan PC. Masih tengah cuba daftarkan Vaksin untuk keluarga. (I’ve been in front of the PC for over an hour. Still trying to get my family registered for the vaccine.) I guess i am not a part of the lucky 300,000,” posted Syed Saddiq.
By 1.23pm, the JKJAV site said all slots have been filled and registrations closed.
